How to Log In to TaxWise Online

Follow these steps to log in to TaxWise Online for the first time:


Step 1: Access the TaxWise Online Portal


    1.    Open a new browser tab.

    2.    Navigate to twonline.taxwise.com. This URL will redirect you to the most current year of TaxWise Online.

    •    For prior years, use the year-specific URL (e.g., for 2020: twonline-20.taxwise.com).


Step 2: Client Login


    1.    On the client login screen, type your Client ID.

    2.    Enter the username: admin.

    3.    If this is your first time accessing TaxWise Online, use your software registration code as the initial password.


Step 3: Complete CAPTCHA


    1.    Select the reCAPTCHA checkbox.

    2.    Complete any tasks assigned by the reCAPTCHA verification.


Step 4: Log In


    1.    Click the “Login” button.

    2.    TaxWise Online uses a two-step verification process for security.


Step 5: Verify Your Identity


    1.    After entering your credentials, you will be asked to confirm your identity.

    2.    Select the option to receive the code via email and click the “Send Code” button.

    3.    Retrieve the code from your email (note that the code expires in 10 minutes).

    4.    Enter the code in the field provided.


Step 6: Trust the Device (Optional)


    1.    Select the checkbox to trust this device for 90 days to avoid re-authentication every time you log in.

    •    Do not select this option if using a public or shared computer.

    2.    Click “Submit.”


Step 7: Create a Secure Password (First-Time Login)


    1.    You will be prompted to create your own secure password.

    2.    Password requirements:

    •    At least 8 characters in length.

    •    No more than 100 characters.

    •    Must contain at least one number.

    •    Must contain at least one special character.

    •    Must include at least one uppercase and one lowercase character.

    •    Password is case-sensitive.

    •    Cannot contain the username.

    •    Cannot reuse any of your last 10 passwords.

    •    Must be changed every 90 days.

    3.    Type and re-enter your new password to confirm.

    4.    Click “Change Password.”


Step 8: Complete Login


    1.    A confirmation message will display indicating that the password has been changed.

    2.    Click “Continue” to proceed to the TaxWise Online dashboard.
